A lot of people ask us if we use ceremonial grade matcha. But here’s the thing: “Ceremonial” is mostly a marketing term. In Japan, there’s no official category called that. Instead, matcha is defined by quality — how it’s grown, how it’s crafted, and what it’s used for. Some types are best for lattes, others for traditional tea preparation.
We use high-grade matcha made from early harvest leaves, stone-milled in small batches, and crafted with respect for the centuries-old Japanese tradition.
