MAU started as a wild idea between two sisters who wanted to build something that actually felt like us. Inspired by the place we had fallen in love with, and grounded in the way we believe a business should be built.

We learnt to ride through the rain, to live in the heat, to slow down, and to dress for a life that looked very different from the one we had left behind.
So we started making clothes for ourselves. Clothes that felt good in Bali. Easy, flattering, and made to actually be lived in. People started asking where they could get them.
And that’s how MAU happened.
A story about Bali, sisterhood, and clothes made to be lived in.
We did not plan to stay. We came to Bali to visit our brother. Then we stayed a little longer. And a little longer again. Somewhere along the way, Bali started feeling like home.
Two sisters, a little island, and an idea that somehow stuck. Today, we make MAU with the same spirit we started with. Together, with the people around us, and with Bali at the heart of it.
