Hi there! We're Cari & Giuli, the sisters behind MAU;

a brand born out of passion, purpose, and a little bit of sibling magic. Originally from southern Germany, we grew up surrounded by the stunning Alps and Lake Constance – a place that inspired our deep love for nature, community, and timeless beauty. Fast forward a few years (and a few career changes), and we found ourselves swapping mountain views for Bali’s breathtaking beaches to create something truly meaningful.

So, who’s who?

Giuli is the numbers whiz and strategy pro. With a background in marketing and business development, she lives for analytics, strategies and turning ideas into plans that actually work. Cari, on the other hand, is the creative powerhouse. With years of experience as a Creative Director, she dreams up every design, oversees production, and creates graphics that bring MAU to life. Together, we’re a perfect mix of creativity and logic, turning our shared vision into reality.

MAU isn't just about creating beautiful clothes

– it’s about creating a better way of doing business. We didn’t come to Bali to chase trends or exploit its beauty. Instead, we’re here to build something with heart. We collaborate closely with local artisans, offering fair salaries, skill development, and career opportunities. By focusing on strong relationships and valuing craftsmanship, we’re proving that fashion can be both stylish and fair – which is only possible through all these amazing people working with us closely.

Our designs are timeless, made to last more than a single season. We want people to feel good about what they wear – not just how it looks, but how it’s made and who made it.
